Why do you need a scale dog, you’re not building a dog house.
– tutor on my minuscule dog i made as a companion to my scale dude.
Talking on MSN with a friend two tables away in...
At 6am, actually talking is too much effort.

Hand-ache from cutting greyboard? Take a break on Tumblr! ;D
Oh if you were wondering what was the picture with the expired link in the question that elleyelle asked, it’s referring to this. The translucent stuff was, as mentioned, matte PVC sheets. The rest of it is foam and basswood sticks :D
Greetings from school on a Sunday midnight (almost).
icecreamdiary asked: hi, as an architecture student do you also get a reading task? because I do.
AND YOUR TUMBLR IS SUPERCOOOOOOOOL XD

Don’t you love it when you get one of those “EUREKA!” moments in the midst of a weekend-long brain block for design studio?
My only advice to myself in the future (and anyone else who finds this relevant) is to stop thinking so much and do something!
Sleepless night tonight! WHOOHOO~!

Anyone needs A0 scrap paper? There’s some here.
– Me.
I swear you’ll probably never hear this outside architecture school.
You know I’m never satisfied

Unsolicited bag recommendation of the day: Man I love my bag. I just stuffed in an A3 butter paper paper pad in the valiant hope that it would fit and it fit perfectly! Also inside: a medium Wacom Intuos4 tablet and my 16-inch laptop.
If you need a sturdy pretty much water resistant backpack (albeit with a slightly wonky centre of gravity) for your too-huge laptop and school things, I heartily...

– - Climatic response lecturer, who is obviously joking.
He was explaining the concept of a ‘stack effect’, where buoyant air rising through a narrow space will create a draft when an opening is created.
People living in high density housing would be familiar with the rubbish chute:

Architect-speak 101: Fenestration
n. people call them windows, but we’re architects, yo. (To be specific, more in the sense of the arrangement of windows rather than windows themselves.)
We haven’t done one of these in a while! Previous AS101s. Also look out for more YKYAAS-es coming your way.
Hey-ho.
So… I’m about to leave for school with my bag with (among other things) my laptop, an A1 carrying case, a 1-metre T-square, a 1-metre ruler and a guitar.
I think I need a taxi.

This brings back some memories. - Here’s a video of the final model making panic for the end of year presentations at the Accademia di architettura Mendrisio. I particularly like the animated critique going on at the end.
C’est la vie.

Oh. Uh, my favourite style of architecture? I think I’m quite a post-modernist, I love béton brut and most things monumental. Historically, I’m partial to baroque buildings which, in my opinion, are delightful. - zy
